Frontier Communications Northwest, Inc. v. City of Richland.  Frontier Communications sued the City, claiming entitlement to a refund with interest of more than $300,000 in local utility taxes.  We successfully defended the City in Benton County Superior Court, demonstrating the validity of the City code and its tax collection practices, and that Frontier’s corporate predecessor had erroneously paid the utility taxes at issue.
